Outpost Camp 2009
Selangor 7 had a blast right at the beginning of the year! It was our annual Outpost Camp, this time BIGGER, and certainly better.
For starters, we had a record breaking crowd of 125 campers altogether for a camp like this – at our favourite Methodist Center Port Dickson.
Camp Commander Wei Sern held the fort together, with all the leaders bravely soldiering on.
The council fire/group theme this year was ‘Movies/Cartoons’, and trust the leaders to lead their groups with names like – Hawker Stall Heroes, Pink Panther, Itchy Feet and Power Puff Rangers.
Rangers were swarmed with two days of activities:
1. Banner and boloslide design
2. Kampung activities – like sepak takraw, doll making, kite flying and beading
3. GAMES! – Tug of WAR! Who can forget drinking coke without hands!
4. Council fire – Lots of Batman and the infamous Joker!
We would like to praise God for an awesome camp, beautiful weather – but more importantly, all the rangers managed to hear the salvation plan and make a decision unto their Maker.
